Italy
We got back from our Italy trip just over a week ago. I had started blogging on my phone, but was unable to post and haven't figured out how to transfer it over yet. Nonetheless, we had such an amazing time. We began the trip in first class (a sweet surprise from my hubby!) How nice was it to relax and sleep all stretched out and laying flat. I had a bit of trouble getting great sleep, but Matt had no problems whatsoever. We landed in Rome and took the train into the city. We stayed right by the Pantheon, which was a great location. We wanted to make sure that we were able to see everything so we began exploring right away. I was a bit sleepy and jet lagged, but still managed to hang. Day #1 we explored the Pantheon, the "birthday cake," the Spanish Steps, and the Treve Fountain. Talk about a lot to take in! My mind is still trying to grasp all of the amazing architecture. As well as the amazing architecture, let me just say the food, wine, and caffe lattes were beyond delicious. I will need to go back just for that alone!

Biking with the boys
So I have the cutest townie bike ever (courtesy of Meredith!) I need to get a pic of it, but it definitely has a basket so Bruno can come along. Tonight Matt, Chase, Bruno, & I went on a ride for the second day in a row. Chase loves going over the bridge so he can see all of the boats. Bruno is just happy to ride along! Although I must admit I'm a little rusty with my bike skills! I thought that was something you could never regress on, but I'm sadly mistaken as Matt likes to point out that I need some work! Nonetheless, we had an awesome time hanging as a family in this finally not so muggy summer evening! Looking forward to many more of these evenings! Stay tuned for a picture of my oh, so cute bike!

FINALLY
I am finally beginning my long awaited blog. Even though I wasn't planning on it today, I figure if I don't start it now it may never get started. I am excited to have a place to update about our family and what is going on in our lives. It seems like time flies by so quickly and our little man Chase is growing up way too soon. We had such an amazing weekend, so what better time than now to share.
We started the weekend off with hanging with Nana and Larry. We went to dinner and then Matt, Chase, and I went off to our first Friday night high school football game of the season. Chase was amazed the entire night. He was just soaking it all in. He was so tired by the time we got home that he didn't even fuss a bit when he went down to bed.
We were blessed Saturday and Sunday to be able to spend some time with friends to celebrate some birthdays. Saturday we celebrated our dear friend Allison's 30th birthday. What a crazy night with the party bus. "I think I can...I think I can" will forever be remembered as the bus tried so hard to make it up the hill unsuccessfully. Nonetheless, we had a memorable evening!
Today we celebrated Tenley's 4th birthday party. I cannot believe she is already 4. She is growing up so fast and is turning into such a little lady. Chase was so shy when we showed up at the Benz's house, but within 30 minutes he was running around like he owned the place. He loved playing with Gus and didn't want to leave. Once we got home he was still in party mode running around our house squealing until it was time for bed. What a wonderful weekend!
